Federal police served four arrest warrants and five search and seizure warrants , in the cities of São Paulo and Osasco. Currently, the shipment of drugs by mail has been a major mode of action of international drug traffickers. In the past two years, the Federal Police in São Paulo / SP seized approximately 250 kilograms of cocaine hidden by criminals amid parcels and letters dispatched from Brazil abroad. Survey conducted indicates as main destinations of these drugs are countries such as Spain, the UK and Australia. At the same time, there has been a significant increase in seizures of parcels sent from Europe and the United States to Brazil, containing large amounts of drugs like skunk, cannabis, ecstasy and LSD. The operation name alludes to the document that must be filled by criminals, for shipment of orders used to hide drugs. The subjects, mostly of foreign origin, will answer for the crime of transnational drug trafficking, with penalties ranging from 5 to 25 years’ imprisonment. With the police action begun this date, PF expect to hold individuals responsible for sending drugs through the postal service, and ensuring the criminal accountability of those involved in this type of crime. http://tinyurl.com/oxl2e8j( ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Cuba Reports 163 Cases of Cholera, Including 12 Tourists http://tinyurl.com/n47cucx ‘Biggest Caribbean drug lab’ busted in Dominican Republic http://tinyurl.com/m7qj94y Jamaica Sees Drops in Crime, Corruption and Violence http://tinyurl.com/nsnfvvy ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ |
